The Philadelphia Marathon- Charlie’s Run with Dan

In July 2019, the Landers received the devastating news that their only son, Charlie, was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma which is a rare pediatric disease affecting 350 kids annually in the US and translates to roughly 1 in a million kids. Their lives would never be the same after losing him this past March. Charlie was very clear before his passing, he wanted to help other kids going through what he was going through. His caring and compassionate nature was the impetus for The Charlie Landers Foundation- a foundation committed to Charlie’s resolve to strike out Ewing Sarcoma forever. Consider being part of his legacy.
In honor of Charlie and Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, I will be running the Philadelphia Marathon to raise money to help Charlie realize his goal of helping other pediatric and young adult patients going through the fight of their lives. All money raised will go to clinical research for Ewing sarcoma and CL7 patient comfort kits which were specially curated by Charlie to help Ewing sarcoma patients stay relaxed and happy while going through treatment.
